What Is Credit and Why Is It Important ?

Credit is important in today’s economy because having it can be a great advantage when you want to finance a large purchase such as a primary home, investment property, or even a new car. The better your credit score, the better your loan terms, and lower your interest rates.

Good credit is not just an advantage for borrowers but for consumers too. When you apply for a new cell phone plan, a rental house or apartment, insurance, etc. In many of these scenarios as well as many more, whoever you send your credit application to will be making decisions on whether or not to do business with you based on your credit score.
